YSA Melbourne is getting ready for our 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM), where we'll get together, reflect on the last year, and elect a shiny, brand-new Executive Committee for 2017-18... and then, proceed to shoot them. The AGM is free to attend, but only members get to vote! So make sure you renew your membership or join prior to the event. Archery Tag, however, will cost $22 and we'll need you to secure your tickets by the 6th of March. You'll also need a bit of extra money for lunch! Please secure your tickets to the AGM and Archery Tag via this page. If you have any special circumstances (eg. showing up at a weird time or meeting us somewhere else), please email socials@melbourne.ysa.org.au. If you would like to participate in Archery Tag but are unable to pay online, you may purchase the Pay Later option. However, please be aware that we have to pay in advance and we need you to be serious about repayment. If you are able to pay online, we strongly encourage doing so.

It's that time of year again - YSA's February Ice Skating Social! As always, it'll be filled with trips, spills, competitiveness, and showing off, so grab your friends and prepare to slip, slide, and skate your way around the O'Brien Icehouse! (Of course, if you're not a skater, you're more than welcome to come along and chill on the sidelines.) Please bring cash if you'd like to use our group discount! -------- The Details What: Ice Skating at Docklands Icehouse When: Saturday, February 4th, 11am Where: Flinders Street Station meet Cost: $25, or $4 if you aren't skating -------- The Itinerary Meeting at Flinders Street Station at 11am. Eating at Melbourne Central at 12pm. Skating at Docklands Icehouse at 1pm. Wrapping up at 4pm. Heading home with a group via Southern Cross. -------- As with all socials, you're totally welcome to arrive or leave at different times due to your own convenience - just make sure to let us know beforehand so we don't worry!

Do you remember the last time you got to learn something for fun? This January, we are running a 5 day science camp with the SSF. It will include some socials, science communication, all your YSA favourites, and most of all, science itself! If you've always wanted to see just a bit more science than you've had the chance to, here's your chance! This program is aimed at ages 17-20, but we encourage everyone who things they might be interested to apply. As well as the chance to spend time immersed in science, over the course of this program you can learn or brush up on your volunteering and leadership skills, so you have everything you need to volunteer with YSA in the future. The exact breakdown of science activities is yet to be confirmed, but will involve lab work, robotics and surprises to be revealed! We're also looking for two assistant coordinators! Friday evening will kick off the celebrations with a beach party, including dinner down at Brighton Beach, some classic (and new) YSA games, hanging out with your friends, and meeting everyone new.  Saturday is activities back at the hall; games, challenges, and team building between and amongst your YSA buddies, with that night being a group dinner and celebrating the year gone by (or just chilling out together).
